Risa VanAntwerp is a nationally board-certified physician assistant. She
completed her physician assistant training in 2017 at Oregon Health &
Science University in Portland, Oregon. She has specialized experience
as a physician assistant in otolaryngology, allergy, and sleep medicine.
She has devoted her career full-time to the treatment of sleep disorders
and joined Colorado Sleep Institute in early 2020.
Prior to her training as a physician assistant, Risa received a Bachelor
of Science degree in Bioengineering from University of Washington. After
graduating from University of Washington, she spent several years developing
and advancing ultrasound technology. She also has worked as part of a
clinical team in internal medicine and psychiatry.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the
American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Risa enjoys trail running, snowboarding, cross country
skiing, and spending time with her family and dog.
