Joseph Turner, MD, is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has more
than twelve years of experience as an internist, treating all manner of
adult illness. He completed medical school at the University of Missouri
and then went on to internship and residency at the University of North
Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is a member of both the American Board of Internal
Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
He has a special interest in acute medical illness — especially heart
failure and infectious diseases. He also has special interests in medical
education, having instructed medical residents and nurse practitioner
students at his most recent affiliated hospital, St. Anthony’s Hospital,
as well as medical ethics and health systems improvements, having served
as the co-chairman of the medical ethics committee at North Suburban Medical Center.
He and his wife, along with their two sons, enjoy Colorado weather and
outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and hockey. Dr. Turner
can also be found listening to music of all types, pretending he is still
a radio DJ!
