Tim Nagel, MD, brings nearly three decades of family medicine experience
to North Vista Medical Center. Prior to joining the North Vista Medical
Center team, Dr. Nagel practiced medicine in rural Iowa, caring for patients
of all ages. There, he delivered hundreds of babies and cared for them
from birth into adulthood. For his older patients, Dr. Nagel’s experience
in geriatric medicine has enabled him to help countless patients successfully
manage a wide range of chronic age-related diseases while also helping
patients and their families understand and navigate end of life issues.
A proponent of preventive care, Dr. Nagel promotes an active, healthy lifestyle
for all of his patients. In addition to routine family medicine services,
he assists in creating nutrition and exercise plans tailored to the individual
needs of his patients.
Dr. Nagel is board-certified in family medicine and is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians. He earned his medical degree and
completed his family practice residency training at the University of
Iowa. Dr. Nagel, who spent years assisting in the emergency department
of his local hospital, holds numerous life support certifications, including
advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS),
basic life support (BLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). Throughout
his medical career, Dr. Nagel has served as a preceptor at the University
of Iowa, helping to train the next generation of physicians and physician
assistants.
Dr. Nagel and his wife, Denise, have nine children and seven grandchildren.
Having vacationed in Colorado for more 25 years, he is excited to begin
practicing medicine and serving patients in the Centennial State.
