Provider Bio
Carla Keahey is dual board-certified as a family nurse practitioner and
an adult clinical nurse specialist. She obtained a bachelor’s degree
in Nutrition and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of
Texas as well as a Post-Master’s Certificate from the University
of Northern Colorado.
Carla has experience as a nurse care coach collaborating with patients
to implement a lifestyle and mind/body approach to health promotion and
disease prevention. She was awarded the Boulder County Public Health Healthy
Community Award for her work on tobacco cessation programming.
As a nurse practitioner, Carla’s emphasis is on the health and well-being
of the whole person through a supportive and collaborative patient experience.
She enjoys partnering with patients to achieve their best health through
preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices. She enjoys caring for patients
of all ages and chose family practice for the comprehensive care of families
it affords.
Carla enjoys life on the front range with her husband and two sons. In
her spare time, she quilts, knits and enjoys yoga, hiking and running.
She is conversant in Spanish.
