Dr. Helgans is an American College of Radiology certified radiologist now practicing general Diagnostic Imaging at Boulder Community Hospital and Foothills Community Hospital. Dr. Helgans is a Jersey native now residing in Boulder. He earned his undergraduate degrees in architecture and systems engineering at University of Pennsylvania. Following a brief hiatus, he attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He and his wife, Elizabeth, then moved to Denver to complete his diagnostic radiology residency at University of Colorado Health Science Center. Dr. Helgans stayed on at University of Colorado Medical Center to complete a body imaging fellowship. The fellowship emphasized oncologic and transplant imaging, with an emphasis on liver MRI and CT-guided procedures. He is very happy to be a part of the Medical Staff and the Boulder community.
