Provider Bio
“I am a teacher at heart; a doctor by training,” reflects Dr.
Laura Huff. “Doctoring is teaching patients all the tools available
to improve skin health, while learning their preferences, goals, and values.
The best feeling is when I can use my medical knowledge to help patients
navigate their own skin disorders.”
Prior to joining Dermatology Specialists, Dr. Huff served as Assistant
Professor of Dermatology at the prestigious Washington University School
of Medicine, where she won the “Washington University Dermatology
Teacher of the Year” award. Dr. Huff is an active member of the
American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and has multiple publications in
leading peer-reviewed dermatology journals. She practices general medical
dermatology for children and adults and performs minor skin surgeries.
Dr. Huff especially likes cases of complex medical dermatology, neurodermatology,
and helping her patients treat and prevent skin cancer and acne.
Dr. Huff earned her medical degree at the University of Colorado School
of Medicine, where she received several honors, including the David Whitlock
Award for Outstanding Performance in Anatomy, and being elected to the
Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Her undergraduate degree in biology (with
a minor in Spanish) is from Colorado State University, where she graduated
summa cum laude with Honor’s Distinction.
