Dr. Hutchinson is a Colorado native, a Fellow of the American College of
Physicians, and Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Born in Fort Collins, she graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs
with a B.A. in Philosophy. Following medical school at the University
of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN and completion of her residency training
at Presbyterian-St. Luke’s in Denver, she started a solo private
practice in Indian Wells, California, focusing on geriatrics, preventive
medicine and management of chronic disease.
She later moved to Crestone, Colorado to pursue her spiritual path and
continue her medical practice in a rural and medically underserved area.
She has done volunteer medical work in Namo Buddha, Nepal, caring for
monastics and villagers, fundraising, organizing volunteers, and instructing
monastic healthcare workers.
Her clinical interests include geriatrics and preventive medicine. Her
philosophy of care focuses on creating a partnership with patients to
construct a participatory care plan.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, photography, skiing, tennis,
and travel as well as spending time with her husband and two canine children.
