As a certified family nurse practitioner, Kathleen Dworak is committed
to providing care that emphasizes coronary disease prevention and educating
patients about healthy lifestyle choices.
She graduated from Kent State University in Ohio with a bachelor’s
degree in nursing. After receiving her degree, she worked for many years
as a registered nurse in a hospital setting, where she managed patients
in areas such as coronary care, cardiovascular surgery, cardiac rehabilitation
and cardiac stress testing. Ms. Dworak later received her Master of Science
with a Family Nurse Practitioner emphasis from Regis University in Denver.
She also holds a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology from
the University of Tennessee.
Prior to joining Boulder Heart, Ms. Dworak gained extensive experience
working many years as a nurse practitioner in the areas of nephrology
and internal medicine. She is a member of the American Association of
Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
