Provider Bio
Elizabeth graduated from the University of Colorado in 2012 with her Doctorate
of Physical Therapy (DPT). She is thankful to continue her journey at
Precision Physical Therapy, where her physical therapy career started
as an aide in 2009. Elizabeth has always had a passion for the sciences
with a special interest in anatomy and physiology. Prior to earning her
Doctorate in P.T. she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health
and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Colorado
State University. Now that she has attained the highest degree available
in the Physical Therapy profession, she desires to be involved in the
full continuum of care for her patients and she believes it is important
to spend time formulating the most optimal plan of care for each individual
patient. Currently, Elizabeth practices at our Louisville office since
2012. She enjoys all realms of orthopedic physical therapy practice and
has a special interest in working with adolescent athletes and patients
with chronic pain. Elizabeth has a unique way of connecting with these
young athletes and is able to motivate them to follow her direction, resulting
in an expedited path to improvement. Also, she has received specialized
training in regards to reintegrating the disrupted nervous system patterns
that are often misunderstood or ignored within the chronic pain population,
in an attempt to re-establish proper brain/body circuitry. Dr. Agnew is
also certified in functional dry needling, which has been a tremendous
adjunct in conjunction with traditional manual therapy techniques because
it allows the muscles to be not only released, but retrained/reset in
order to rehabilitate her patients more quickly. She has also been trained
in a variety of kinesiotaping techniques to further support patients and
their injuries. Elizabeth looks forward to continuing to learn the latest
innovative techniques that the physical therapy profession has to offer.
When not at Precision, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her daughter,
Adley. Elizabeth is a Colorado native and enjoys outdoor activities such
as hiking and biking, going to concerts, Colorado Avalanche games, traveling,
and connecting with her friends and family.
