Dr. John K Dorman, MD specializes in neurosurgery and has over 26 years
of experience in the field of medicine. He graduated from the University
Of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with his medical degree in 1994.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Dorman completed his general
surgery internship in Norfolk, Virginia as well as a two-year fellowship
in pediatric intensive care in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Dorman
completed his neurosurgical residency at The University of New Mexico,
in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 2006
and was inducted into the American College of Surgeons in 2009.
Dr. Dorman is a member of The American Association of Neurological Surgeons,
the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society,
the Texas Medical Association, and the Midland County Medical Society.
Dr. Dorman advances his field through research and innovation and published
articles in peer-reviewed neurosurgical journals and has several patents
for surgical devices. In addition to the advancement of surgical devices,
Dorman writes and develops software, which initially started as a hobby,
and has grown to use his programming knowledge to develop a navigation
platform using the iPod touch which has been used in over 200 cases.
